There is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World, it’s tough to fit everything into one vacation.  Ok, I realise you actually can’t do everything in one trip but something you really should make time for is meeting characters.  These experiences are traditional at Disney and they can be so special, even if you don’t have kids.   I would urge everyone to find their inner child.  Suspend their disbelief and interact with the characters for what might just be one of the most memorable moments of your holiday.

Now that we’ve hit 2017 planning for our trip to Disney World and Universal Studios has begun in earnest.  I know, we don’t depart for another 250 days, but for me planning is part of the trip, so it’s never too early to start.

First off I decided I would make sure I planned plenty of time for everyone’s favourite attractions and dining locations.  So, to that end, I compiled a list for each family member.  Here’s list number one.  Disney World’s top three attractions by Joe, our son and expert, age 12.

Disney has a whole back catalogue of the most wonderful movies.  Stories we treasure and watch over and over again.  It’s Walt’s gift to all of us.  But over the Christmas period, while watching some non Disney movie classics on TV I started to ponder.  There are quite a few movies out there that Disney could have made.  These films have all the hallmarks of a classic Disney live action movie, but were created by another studio.

JK Rowling’s novels have made Kings Cross station in London the iconic home of Platform 9¾.  Harry Potter fans the world over know that this is the place to catch the Hogwarts Express, where Harry’s adventures first start.  In the Wizarding world you catch the school train by running full pelt, with your luggage trolley, at the wall between platforms 9 and 10.

Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom is one of our favourite things about the Magic Kingdom.  The game  has cleverly disguised portals which when activated awaken to reveal an animated Disney story.  A journey around the Magic Kingdom then follows with apprentice  sorcerers required to fight a legion of villains using special cards.
