Universal Studios was a complete surprise to me the first time we visited.  I did not expect to love it so much, its now a favourite. We went to Orlando so we could visit Disney World, a visit to the House of Mouse had been an ambition since going to Disneyland Paris.  At the time I thought this would be our one and only trip to Florida so we added on a few days at Universal.  Experiencing the Harry Potter attractions was the reason we wanted to see Universal Studios.  As it turned out not only were we blown away by all the Potter attractions but we also loved the rest of Universal too.  Now we wouldn’t dream of a Florida holiday that didn’t include it.

When we visit Disney World we always visit Universal Studios too.  Though my Grumpy Husband is a reluctant Disney fan he is an out of the closet Universal lover.  The bigger and bolder attractions at the two Universal parks suit him perfectly, he absolutely knows no fear and will try any ride, at least once.   Continue Reading

There is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World, it’s tough to fit everything into one vacation.  Ok, I realise you actually can’t do everything in one trip but something you really should make time for is meeting characters.  These experiences are traditional at Disney and they can be so special, even if you don’t have kids.   I would urge everyone to find their inner child.  Suspend their disbelief and interact with the characters for what might just be one of the most memorable moments of your holiday.
